On the afternoon of April 30th, Officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of East Saline Street and Albright Court on a vehicle with expired registration. Officers discovered the driver had a suspended license. Tatiana Lara Monroy, 24, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, Failure to Register with the DOR, and Driving While Suspended.


 

Early Tuesday morning, Officers were dispatched to the area of Vermont Park, West 14th Street and South Vermont Avenue, in regards to a past assault. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the victim and gathered information for a report. A city summons will be issued for the assault and for being in the park after hours.


 

Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Break Time, 318 West Broadway Boulevard, to check on a subject in the parking lot. Upon arrival, Officers identified the subject, who had a warrant for his arrest. The warrant was issued in April 2024. Martavious Keyshawn Thomas, 33, Homeless, was arrested for his warrant on charges of Trespassing in the 1st Degree. Thomas was booked in at the Pettis County Jail, pending a $1000 cash only.


 

On the afternoon of May 2nd, Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of West 6th Street in regards to a subject urinating in public. Officers arrived on scene, made contact with the intoxicated subject, and arrested him. Sergei S. Gladush Jr., 45, of Sedalia, was transported to the Pettis County Jail to be placed on a 12 hour hold for his own safekeeping.


 

Officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of South Montgomery Avenue Monday evening regarding two dogs with possibly aggressive behavior running around the neighborhood. Upon arrival, Officers spoke with the reporting party, who said the dogs had taken off. Officers located the dogs in the 1900 block of South Montgomery Avenue. Officers attempted to contact the residents of the home, but the dogs on the property became aggressive. Officers stepped off the property, but while waiting for information about the homeowner, an Officer was bit by one of the dogs. The bite did not need medical attention. Animal Control arrived at the residence at a later time, but the dog was not located.


 

Late Monday night, Sedalia Police contacted three subject walking in the street near East 24th Street and South Massachusetts Avenue. During the contact, one of the subjects evaded the contact, fleeing the area. The female was located in the area of East 20th Street and South Lamine Avenue. It was determined she had active warrants for her arrest. Melissa Marie McClanahan, 38, of Sedalia, was arrested for her Failure to Appear warrants on felony charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance and misdemeanor Fraudulent Use of a Credit Device. Total bond on both charges totaled to $15,000 cash or surety and $250 cash only.

On the afternoon of April 28th, Officers responded to the Police Department lobby for a report of a hit and urn accident that occurred the night before. Information was gathered from the victim, Emily Anne Tichenor, as well as an unnamed witness. Information was also gathered for the involved vehicles. A report was completed.


 

Monday night, Officers responded to the Bothwell Regional Health Center, 601 East 14th Street, in reference to a dog bite. Officers made contact with Kenneth Ray Sharp, who stated he was attacked by a dog in the area of East 16th Street and South Wagner Avenue. Officers gathered information and created a report.


 

Officers responded to the lobby of the Police Department Monday evening to take a report of fraud. Officers made contact with Kelly Dawn Venable, who sated someone had used her information to take out a loan. The suspect is unknown at this time. Officers gathered information and generated a report.


 

Sedalia Police conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of West Broadway Boulevard and South Limit Avenue on a vehicle with registration. Officers discovered the driver had a revoked license. Brenden M. Price, 26, of Sedalia, was arrested on charges of Failure to Maintain Financial Responsibility, and felony Driving While Revoked. Price was transported to the Pettis County Jail.


 

On the afternoon of May 2nd, Officers were dispatched to the South 65 Carwash, located at 3100 Clinton Road for a report of property damage. A Tyson semi-tractor and trailer caused damage to the carwash. Officers arrived on scene, gathered information, documented the damages, and a report was completed.
