I started playing cornhole last year. A friend of mine and I started participated in a few tournaments. If you like to play, here's an opportunity for you to win $1000 just for playing the game in your backyard!

I teamed up with a friend of mine to start playing cornhole late summer last. We played in a few tournaments under the "recreation/novice" division. We knew we were nowhere near the needed skllls to go into the "competitive" slots. We won a few games and lost a few. (Actually more losses than wins!) I saw this and I'm thinking it may be something to consider for the Spring.

Lawn care company TruGreen is offering $1,000 dollars for the avid "cornholers", i.e., those that will spend time outdoors. The whole idea is to play the game and explain how you're using the game in the great outdoors to stay safe while your dealing with coronavirus pandemic around us.

As you most likely know, more people have headed outdoors during COVID-19. It's been a way to cope from being isolated from others. A statement on the company's website says "We are looking for someone who is willing to play cornhole and tell us about how you are using it to stay connected while staying safe."

The folks at mytruegreenlawn.com goes on to say:

"Do you need more reasons to get outside? Looking for ways to have fun while socially (distancing)? Want something to do that's good for all ages? If you are, then we have the job for you. We're paying someone $1,000 to play cornhole."

Closing date for entry will be April 5, 2021 at 5:00 PM ET. You can go to the company's website, mytruegreenlawn.com, for details and rules.
