Two people were arrested on multiple drug charges Friday after Sedalia officers served a search warrant in the 600 block of W. 2nd Street.

A press release from the Sedalia Police Department indicates that on February 22, detectives with the drug enforcement unit and patrol officers served a search warrant at 614 W. 2nd Street, where the drug enforcement unit had been investigating subjects for suspected methamphetamine distribution.

At the residence, entry was reportedly gained through the front door and contact was made with five subjects. A female subject, 23-year old Michele L. Bradley, was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamine.

A male subject, 38-year old Richard A. Kurtz, was also arrested after the investigation revealed he was reportedly in possession of methamphetamine and additional items of evidence that are used in the distribution of meth.

The three other subjects were released from the scene.

State charges of Distribution Of A Controlled Substance With The Intent To Distribute (meth), Possession Of A Controlled Substance (meth), and Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia are being requested for Kurtz.

State charges are being requested for Bradley for Possession Of A Controlled Substance (meth).
