2 Dead, 4 Injured in Head-On Vehicle Collision in Cole County

Two people were killed and four others injured Tuesday night in a head-on vehicle collision in Cole County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident just before 9:00, on Route B north of Clover Hill Lane.

According to the online crash report, a 2016 Mazda 6, driven by 19-year old Syndey N. Shrag, of Jefferson City, crossed the center line and struck a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado head-on.

Shrag and a passenger in the Mazda, 21-year old Damani L. Winters, of Jefferson City, were killed in the accident. Shrag and Winters' bodies were taken to Freeman's Mortuary.

Another passenger in the Mazda, 20-year old Anthony R. Bertucci, of Russellville, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to University Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Chevy, 51-year old Aaron A. Hauzer, of Jefferson City, and two passengers, 46-year old Twila L. Hauzer, of Jefferson City and 67-year old Bobby G. Wilfawn, of Branson, all suffered serious injuries. All three were taken to University Hospital, by EMS, for treatment.
