It's a new year and it's the first winter storm to make us realize that we really are in January in Missouri.

A winter storm is likely this weekend and will bring with it a multitude of hazards. From Friday night through Saturday evening, freezing rain amounts could be as high as a couple tenths of an inch. The freezing rain is expected change to snow from north to south late Friday night into Saturday with the heaviest snow amounts through Sunday morning in northeastern Missouri.
