Are You Writing The Correct Year Yet?

02/21/2016... NO, 2017.I don't know about you, but I always, always struggle these first couple of months to concentrate and be sure to write the correct year when I'm dating something. I feel like a real numbskull when I do it!

I've definitely had to re-write a few checks to the Sedalia Water Department because of it. I don't know what the phenomena is, but it's a little annoying! And then, I try to fix it, and that never works out. At least when it was 2015 you could just put a little loop at the bottom of the five and make it LOOK like a six. With this one, there is nothing you can do short of making the date look like some kind of ancient Masonic stamp or something.

I'm looking forward to 2018 now, because then I can KIND of fake the seven into an eight. In the meantime, though, I guess I'm just stuck being a doofus and getting those Looks. You know, from people who probably can adult a little better than you? I can't be alone in this though.
