Every day I rack my brain to try to think of things for you and I to talk about.  I see what I do on the air as a way of conversing with you - but most of the time it's just me talking.  So with our surveys, I ask, and you answer. Here's a look back at some of your answers for our questions - I couldn't possibly go through them all, but here's some of the ones that stood out.  On Monday I asked you to fill in the blank:  "What Our City Needs Most is...._____"

A community center with indoor pool, track, basketball gym, fitness equipment, and community development programs would be great!

That is true - and I think eventually they're working to get us one. For now, though, I know the the Sedalia Parks and Rec does a lot, as does the Senior Center.

More name brand shopping--like a Kohl's or Target. It's a shame that most of us go to KC or Columbia to do our shopping instead of here at home.

It's amazing how many of you said this, or some variant of it. Whether you wanted the coupons, or the competition for Wal Mart, you guys definitely want a Target.

Sky zone, or Chuckie Cheese. Both would do well in Sedalia and give families more options to do fun things together while staying in town.

There you go, fun for the kiddos and robot monsters. Everybody wins!

On Tuesday, I talked about a video where a man confronted a woman beggar that was driving a new car. He said he'd gone without lunch that week to give her money, and felt like she didn't need it if she was driving a new car. So I asked you guys about your experiences giving to panhandlers.

I NEVER give them money. I have given them gift cards to a local fast food. They can get help at a number of local resources for food or shelter if they just tried. I saw a guy at the entrance to Walmart with a "Help me" sign that had a cooler & he pulled out a beer!!!! No way did he get anything but a glare!

Yeah, I can understand not wanting to help that guy get another beer.

Yes I do, I have had hard times and needed help. But to me it depends on the person, I don't generally give money to the younger generation or to people that look like they had a good night's sleep and have on designer clothing.. So it depends on a few variables for me. But yes I give to the homeless.

Right, there is definitely a difference between someone you think really needs help and someone who just is grifting. It can be hard to tell the difference with a few people.  About seventy five percent of you said "Yes" or some variant of that.  I know Sedalians are pretty giving and charitable.

On Wednesday, I asked you about the new TV shows this fall.  I've caught a couple of new ones, and I asked you what you've been watching.

Only new show I've watched is Breaking Amish. It's kind of neat to see their expressions on modern day technology and also to hear about their lifestyle.

Yes, I've always found the Amish lifestyle intriguing. I know we have some Mennonites in the area, they don't have as many restrictions as the Amish do.

I've not seen any of the new shows yet. Love The Blacklist from last year tho'... action and interesting angles and twists.

Boyfriendo also loves that show. I haven't seen it yet, but then, I do tend to miss out on a lot of the big hit shows until later. I still haven't seen Breaking Bad.

Black-ish....just funny!

Oh, I haven't seen that one either, but I love Anthony Anderson. He does a travelling food show called Eating America that Boyfriendo really loves, so that guy's pretty funny. And he was good in the Law and Order stuff that I saw!

On Thursday I asked about some of your favorite eats. Apparently there's a bit of a shift in our tastes due to fear of peanut allergies, so we aren't eating as much peanut butter and jelly as we used to. So I asked about your favorites in the sammitch world.

Well, it is not that $1,000 + so-called burger featured. I could eat fast food sandwiches for a year for $1,000!   Take your pick - fish, egg, beef, pork, chicken, turkey, but lobster?  I don't think so.

Ah, yes, the most expensive burger. I'm with you, give me a regular grilled cheese or somethin' anyday.

I still love PB&J, But I also like making Grilled Turkey & Cheese.   Mm Good!

That does sound good, especially this time of year. When it's nice and chilly, a good grilled sammitch and a warm cup of soup is just perfect.

Meatball.

Simple, easy, straightforward. Put some balls of meat on some bread, can't beat it. Although it does sound a little off to say it like that. ANYWAY.

Anyway, that's it for this week's Enquiring Minds. But, I'll have a bunch of brand new ones next week, so come back and take some more surveys. Make sure you go back and take any of the other surveys you may have missed and you'll get points to win prizes!
Curiously yours,
Behka
