I have been on a bit of a nostalgia kick lately. Thinking about the way things were when I was younger.  I often speak to my family back home, and the stories they tell about their youth.  The places they could go to grab food.  Especially burgers.  A dear friend of mine used to live near the St Louis area and told me about Chuck-A-Burger.  I think Sedalia could use a place like this.

This classic burger joint is a drive-in place, and it reminds me of Happy Days, or something out of the movie Grease. They have been serving their Chuck burgers (and their unique Chuck seasoning) since 1957.  There are a lot of places in Missouri to get a good burger.  This place might be the best.

Like a Sonic restaurant, you can drive up and have the food brought out to you.  Or go inside and grab a stool and see it's old school 50's vibe.

Now these burgers are what they are famous for.  Above is the triple cheese chuck.  My goodness that looks glorious!  Or perhaps you would prefer the Vintage Melt with onion rings and the old school Double Cola seen below.

Now if you are going to a classic drive-in that feels like it is out of the 50's, you will need a milk shake right? Or a float? They will have you covered.

As you can see, there are options for the kids.  Applesauce is an option instead of fries.

Since this is a drive-in restaurant, they have quite a lot of cruise nights similar to the ones we have had around town and in our bordering cities. With the Hardee's on Limit now closed, and the Golden Corral closing, surely there is enough space around for a place like this in Sedalia.  I think it could be a gold mine.

Nearly 70 years in business.  Not too shabby.  If this place ever decides to open another location, I hope someone looks at our town.  We have the space.
