Boonville Man Killed in Cooper County Accident
A 60-year-old Boonville man was killed on August 12 after he was ejected from a 2001 Dodge Ram that rolled over on Route U in Cooper County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Raymond Johnston lost control of the vehicle around 9:10 p.m. on Route U at Debo Rd. The Dodge left the roadway, rolled, and ejected Johnston, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Assistant Coroner Deputy Chris Howard around 9:20. The Missouri State Highway Patrol's online crash report indicates Johnston was not wearing a safety device. The vehicle was totaled in the accident.
This incident is the second fatality accident for the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop F region in the month of August, and the 44th fatality for 2018.
