Boys & Girls Clubs of West Central Missouri will host a drop-in day for Sedalia Sites only on Friday, Oct. 30.

Due to health and safety precautions, the day will look differently than in years past and will only be available to those children already enrolled in the BGC program.

“We want to ensure health protocols are in place and we’re keeping our members and their families as safe as possible,” said BGC Executive Director Gary Beckman. “We are grateful to Superintendent Steve Triplett and the Sedalia 200 School District for allowing us to keep Sedalia Sites open during this time.”

Previously, any Boys & Girls Club member could attend a drop-in day held at the First Baptist Church location no matter what Club Site they normally attend. This year drop-in days will be held at each Sedalia Elementary Site; those who attend The CLUB will be able to drop-in at the church.

“If your child goes to the Heber Hunt Club Site, for example, they will go to Heber Hunt for the drop-in day,” Beckman said. “Everything else will remain the same, we’ll have programming options and fun activities planned, but instead of all being together at one location, they’ll be in their regular school/Club Site.”

The drop-in day will be from 6:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., October 30. Parents must send the $5 fee with their child on the drop-in day; those who do not have their fee will not be allowed to stay at the Club Site. State pay child care assistance and scholarship do not count toward drop-in day fees. Children should also bring a sack lunch; milk and snack will be provided by Boys & Girls Club.
