A Brumley teen died in a one-car crash that occurred Wednesday in Miller County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 2009 Chevy Cruze, driven by a 16-year-old female from Brumley, was on westbound Missouri 42, .6 miles before Mill Creek Road at 5:44 p.m., when the vehicle skidded, traveled off the right side of the roadway, struck a tree and a fence.

The girl was pronounced dead at 6:34 p.m., by Dr. Cravens at Lake Regional Hospital. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report. The body was taken to Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.

The Chevy was totaled.
