California Teen Injured After Car Overturns, Strikes Tree

A California teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday in Miller County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2004 Toyota Highlander, driven by 19-year-old Angelica Lemus of California, was on Missouri 17, one-half mile north of Saline Road around 5 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the road, overturned and struck a tree.

Lemus suffered minor injuries, and was transported by ambulance to
St. Mary's in Jefferson City.

The Toyota was totaled.

Miller County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
