A Camdenton man died in a motorcycle accident that occurred Saturday afternoon in Camden County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 28-year-old Robert D. Eaton of Camdenton, was the driver of a southbound 1986 Honda motorcycle on Missouri 7, 113 feet north of Devanna Drive (west of Greenview) around 2:20 p.m., when the Honda traveled off the right side of the roadway, became airborne, struck a telephone pole and overturned.

Eaton was pronounced dead at the scene at 3:21 p.m., by Dr. William Cravens. The body was taken to Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Camdenton.

The Honda was totaled.

This was Troop F's 26th fatality for 2023, and the first one for August.
