A sunny Wednesday leads to a warm Thursday with the potential for thunderstorms during the morning. Friday starts out hot and steamy, but strong thunderstorms roll in during the afternoon and evening. Showers and storms continue through the weekend.
Got yard work? Today is the best day to get those chores done, but you will also have some time tomorrow before storms return. It is still on the warm side both days, so make sure you are staying hydrated and taking some breaks.
The system that passed through our area the last couple days has moved north and has left us with the good possibility of idea conditions as we move closer to the first day of Summer on Saturday, June 20.
Strong winds are expected over the area today with some gusts reaching up to 40-50mph. Light rain over northern Missouri will move off to the east by early afternoon, leaving a breezy, but nice Wednesday afternoon. Cooler and drier conditions will prevail through early next week.
