We're all a little guilty of being drawn to gossip columns (some of us more than others). I don't know what it is about the detriment of others that draws us into the scandal and entices us to read more. Maybe it's the relief we feel to know that we're all capable of dishonest behavior. In other words, money and celebrity does not exclude anyone from the old adage, to err is human.

I could send you to links about who's cheating who, who's losing everything, who's keeping dirty little secrets, or to who's losing her mind and shaving her head this time. Quite frankly, I'm bored with the whole prospect of 'down on their luck celebrities'. How about some good news for a change?

For instance, did you know there are some celebrities with higher than average I.Q.s? Your Daily Dish lists celebs like James Franco and Cindy Crawford – proof that they have more to offer than a beautiful face on a screen.

Another interesting fact about some famous individuals– they care about their fellow man. The Richest names actors like Johnny Depp, Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves who donate to various charities. From children hospitals to museums, theaters to movie production crews, celebrities are reaching into their own pockets to help where it is needed.

Not only do the famous worry about the human race, but animals alike. You can find a slew of celebrities who are working to help lesser creatures at Care 2.

The next time you're headed for the latest gabfest on who did what to whom, how about looking at the brighter, lighter side of things. Read something worth knowing about a person, instead.
