A Clinton, MO man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly firing shots at police officers.

Around 4:30 Saturday afternoon, Clinton, MO Police Officers responded to 901 South Main Street, to a disturbance call.

Upon arrival officers were reportedly shot at from the residence. Henry County Deputies and Missouri Highway Patrol responded to assist.

The suspect, 46-year old Rick Lee McCartney, allegedly threatened to kill the officers. Authorities took cover and were shot at. There were no injuries reported.

McCartney was eventually arrested. According to the Clinton Daily Democrat, McCartney has been charged with three counts of 1st Degree Assault involving a special victim and three counts of Armed Criminal Action. He has a bond of $500,000.
