Cole Camp Woman Injured in Pettis County Rollover

A Cole Camp woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Monday in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2007 Nissan Murano was on Missouri 135 at Providence Road, 12 miles east of Sedalia at 5:50 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway, colliding with a ditch.

The vehicle then returned to the roadway, and again off into a ditch. The vehicle then returned to the roadway and began to overturn. The vehicle came to rest on its top on the left side of the roadway, facing north.

The driver, 46-year-old Melissa A. Schlesselman of Cole Camp, suffered moderate injuries and was transported to University of Missouri Hospital by PCAD.

She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Nissan was totaled.
