Courtney Tanner Named Sedalia Parks & Rec Lifeguard of the Year

Each outdoor pool season, Sedalia Parks & Rec pool staff nominates someone for a Lifeguard of the Year award.

Courtney Tanner is the recipient of that award for 2022. Courtney is a pool manager and lifeguard.

“She is a problem solver, leader, and role model for staff and patrons. She exhibits outstanding customer service skills and is someone staff can rely on for any questions or issues that may come up. Courtney has phenomenal lifeguard skills she helps teach new staff. She has performed several saves for patrons.

"We appreciate your hard-work and determination to your job - the pools would not be the same without you. Courtney is more than deserving of this award and we are so sad she has to go back to college,” Sedalia Parks & Rec said in a press release.
