As we end March and get ready to swing into April, the Spring sports schedule at Smith-Cotton High School is underway. Since some restrictions have been lifted for sports across the state there are still some guidelines that spectators still have to follow.

S-Cs Activities director, Rob Davis, posted spring sports visitors and spectators guidelines that are in place for the rest of the school year. Davis reminds everyone of the following:

  • Entry passes are not necessary at this time.
  • Masks are to be worn when entering/exiting and moving around facilities.
  • If seated with household members and socially distanced from others, masks can be taken off.

Davis went on to provide the following information for upcoming high school girls soccer and high school baseball:

High School Girls Soccer

● Games will be played at Tiger Stadium on the Smith-Cotton High School Campus or at Susie Ditzfeld Field behind Skyline Elementary School.

● At this time, there are no restrictions on attendance numbers at outdoor athletic events in Sedalia as long as social distancing can be maintained.

● Smith-Cotton and the Sedalia School District reserves the right to implement attendance limitations for tournaments and multiple school events and if social distancing guidelines are not adhered to.

● Masks, gaiters, or other appropriate face covering is mandatory for all spectators. If you are seated alone or with members of your household and are able to keep 6 feet of physical distancing between yourself and those around you, you may remove your mask.

● When entering and exiting each facility, visiting restrooms, etc., you must have your mask on and stay physically distant from those around you when possible.

● Congregating in common areas is prohibited. ● No re-entry at events. Once you leave you may not re-enter.

● Pre-packaged Concession stand items will be available.

● Visiting teams should screen their coaches, players, and managers for Covid-19 prior to arriving at Smith-Cotton.

● Visiting teams must provide their own water.

High School Baseball

● Games will be played at Liberty Park Stadium.

● At this time, there are no restrictions on attendance numbers at outdoor athletic events in Sedalia as long as social distancing can be maintained.

● Smith-Cotton and the Sedalia School District reserves the right to implement attendance limitations for tournaments and multiple school events and if social distancing guidelines are not adhered to.
