An Iowa man was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday morning in Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 2021 Honda, driven 70-year-old Jay T. Sylling of Lytton, Iowa, was on I-49 at Missouri 58 (Belton) at 11:50 a.m., when the vehicle traveled off the roadway, and struck a cable barrier. It then returned to the roadway, overturned and ejected the driver, who was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.

Sylling suffered moderate injuries, and was taken to Research Hospital for treatment.

The Honda had extensive damage.
