A Windsor woman was injured in a one-vehicle wreck in Johnson County early Friday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2018 Chevy Equinox, driven by 21-year-old Sierra D. Blake of Windsor, was on Route V, east of NE 151 Road around 3 a.m., when the driver swerved to avoid a deer in the road. The vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway, struck an embankment, caught on fire and became fully engulfed.

Blake suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center for treatment.

The Chevy was totaled.

Johnson County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
