Early Monday morning, Sedalia Police observed a Jeep driving erratically on West 16th Street.

Officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle at West 16th Street and South Moniteau Avenue.

During the course of the investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated and had a revoked driving status. The driver was arrested and placed into the patrol car.

During a search of the suspect's vehicle, Officers observed a half-empty 1.75 liter bottle of vodka and a prescription pill container with a variety of different pills in it, that had no markings.

Nathanael A. David, 32, of Sedalia, was transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his BAC to be above 0.08.

The pills were sent to the MSHP lab for analysis.

David was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was placed on a 24-hour hold. A request for the charges of Driving While Intoxicated (Prior Offender) and Driving While Revoked has been submitted to the prosecutor.

Further charges may be requested, pending the result of the pill analysis.
