An Edwards woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Monday afternoon in Benton County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 1990 Honda, driven by 46-year-old Brandalynn M. Harris of Edwards, was on Poorboy Road, west of Highway M, around 1:15 p.m., when the vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and struck a fence. Harris suffered serious injuries, and was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by Life Flight.

Harris was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Honda was totaled and towed from the scene.
