Edwards Woman Injured in Cass County Rollover

An Edwards woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday in Cass County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2003 Ford, driven by 59-year-old Dennise Bowyer of Edwards, was on 227th Road, east of Missouri 7 just before 8 p.m., when she swerved to avoid an animal in the roadway and traveled off the right side of the road. She overcorrected and returned to the roadway, overturning and traveling off the left side.

Bowyer suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to St. Luke's Hospital by Central Cass EMS for treatment.

The Ford was totaled.

Cass County Deputies assisted the Patrol.
