The Johnson County Sheriff's Office announced on Facebook that the Johnson County Crime Resolution Team seized a sizeable amount of cash and methamphetamine in two major busts this week.

On May 1, the Johnson County Crime Resolution Team seized approximately three pounds of methamphetamine while executing a search warrant in the 100 block NW  Highway 50 in Warrensburg.

This followed a major bust by the Crime Resolution Team and Missouri State Highway Patrol on April 25 in the 1600 block of NW 35 Road in Kingsville. Police seized five pounds of methamphetamine, along with stolen vehicles, trailers, motorcycles, and one ATV according to a Facebook post.

Two arrests were made with the search warrant and the Johnson County Sheriff's Office says they hope the bust sends a message that illegal activity will not be tolerated in our community.

All told the Johnson County Crime Resolution Team seized $77,148.00 in cash and got eight pounds of methamphetamine off the streets of Johnson County in a week. The Johnson County Sheriff's Office said in a Facebook post they believe this will have a " Deterring effect on those who try to distribute drugs in our community."
