The ’70s were a particularly great period for Elton John, and the musician will give fans a chance to reflect on the era by offering up a new box set.

NME reports that the ‘Classic Album Selection’ box set includes his early albums ‘Elton John,’ ‘Tumbleweed Connection,’ ‘Madman Across the Water,’ ‘Honky Chateau,’ and ‘Don’t Shoot Me, I’m Only the Piano Player.’ All of the discs came during a particularly prolific period for Elton (1970-1974), as five albums in a four-year span is unheard of these days.

The self-titled ‘Elton John’ disc was responsible for the singer’s first chart-topping single, ‘Your Song.’ That led to ‘Honky Chateau’ becoming his first No. 1 album, and ‘Don’t Shoot Me, I’m Only the Piano Player’ was the singer’s first disc to top both the U.S. and U.K. charts. Other hits that came from this era included ‘Levon,’ ‘Rocket Man,’ ‘Crocodile Rock,’ ‘Daniel,’ ‘Honky Cat,’ and ‘Tiny Dancer.’

The collection will replicate the the original releases, with no bonus tracks or previously unreleased recordings being added. The ‘Classic Album Selection’ box set is expected to arrive July 2.
