Snoring. If you don't do it, most likely someone in your household does. And it doesn't even have to be a human being. Our pets, particularly dogs, can drive us crazy with their snoring.

Of course the main reason we snore is the relaxed tissues in your throat vibrate as the air you breathe in rushes past them. How much and how loud can be due to your weight, your health and the shape of your mouth. Some people can snore and it's barely audible, and then there's the snorers that spend the night cutting a cord of wood with their chain saw!

One of the reasons you may snore may be due to health reasons. Maybe you have a cold  or allergies and your nose gets clogged. It closes up the airways sometimes and this can lead to some of your snoring problems.

Now if you're a back sleeper, this can cause you to snore the most. You're better off to sleep on your side, if at all possible, to limit your amount of snoring. You could even try elevating yourself with a few pillows to keep from being directly on your back when sleeping.

Unfortunately, some are not blessed with a deviated septum. This is a problem that most likely would need to fixed surgically to reduce the snoring problem.

We put the question up on our KIX 105.7 Facebook page, "Who snores louder...you or your significant other?" We got a variety of answers but the one that was the comical wasn't the significant other but the family pet. Their dog was the culprit of the most and loudest snores in the household.
