A head-on collision in Saline County resulted in the death of a Sweet Springs woman, Wednesday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident around 7:30, on MO-20 at 225th Road.

A Dodge crossed the center line of the roadway and struck a 1999 Bluebird school bus head-on.

The driver of the Dodge, 66-year-old Carolyn S. Lacy, of Sweet Springs, was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

The driver of the Bluebird, 66-year-old Gary R. Pennock, of Marshall, suffered minor injuries. He was taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment, by Saline County EMS.

Two passengers in the school bus were also injured. 12-year-old Xander Wilson and 9-year-old Palmer Froth, both of Marshall, were also taken to Fitzgibbon Hospital for treatment.

Both vehicles were totaled in the accident.
