Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Monday afternoon in Cole County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a southbound 1999 Subaro Forester, driven by 72-year-old John R. Carrel of Jefferson City, was on Goller Road at 12:20 p.m., when he pulled into the path of a eastbound 2007 Chevy Silverado, driven by 38-year-old Sarah J. Ransome of Crocker.

Carrel suffered moderate injuries, and was transported by Cole County EMS to Capitol Region Medical Center for treatment. Carrel was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Ransome suffered moderate injuries as did a 13-year-old female passenger in her vehicle. An eight-year-old female suffered minor injuries. All three were transported by Cole County EMS to Lake Regional Hospital. Ransome was not wearing her seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.
