Boonslick Regional Library's Friends of the Library group will be holding a silent auction November 26-December 1.

"Our silent auctions really have a nice selection," said Jackie Oliphant. "We get donations from local business and the Friends' members each put together something to put in the auction." Oliphant says that the public can also make donations for the auction. "If somebody would like to donate something, they can bring it in before November 26. It does have to be something in excellent condition."

Items that have been auctioned in the past include items like quilts, gift certificates, tote bags of children's books, and antiques. "We will have a variety of really nice items. We do have a doll house play set. We wanted to do the auction at the end of this month because there will be some nice items that people might want for Christmas gifts."

The Sedalia branch of Boonslick Regional Library is at 219 W. 3rd St. The library is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays-Wednesdays and Fridays, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursdays, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. The Friends of the Library group meets at noon on the second Tuesday of each month at the library.
