Furnell Honored by Republicans at John Ryan Dinner

Local businessman David Furnell was presented the John C. Ryan Award in recognition of “outstanding service to our nation, our state and our county through involvement in the Republican Party” at the 81st Annual John C. Ryan Dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 26 at the Missouri Cattlemen's Association Beef House on the Missouri State Fairgrounds. 

Furnell's involvement with improvements in Downtown Sedalia was specifically identified as a reason for the award.

His wife Joyce Furnell and his daughters Jordan Robertson and Eric Eisenminger joined him at the event.

Pettis County Republican Chairwoman Carla Young praised him for his efforts in improving our community.

Also during the meeting, State Rep. Brad Pollitt presented a proclamation to Ronnie and Marsha Boeschen for their 50 years of marriage.

Secretary of State jay Ashcroft was the guest speaker at the event.
