On Tuesday at 5:27 p.m., a Pettis County deputy assigned to La Monte and Green Ridge, and Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force detectives traveled to 110 Main Street in Green Ridge in response to numerous complaints from Green Ridge citizens about suspicious activity.

They made contact with the homeowner, who gave consent to search the residence. The search yielded a small amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Also located was a motorcycle reported stolen out of Kansas City.

Serghei B. Ciobanu was arrested for tampering with a motor vehicle, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Pettis County Sheriff's Office and the Mid-Mo Drug Task Force thanked to the citizens of Green Ridge for seeing something and saying something that looked suspicious.

“With their assistance, we were able to return stolen property and take illegal drugs off the streets of Pettis County,” they said in a statement.
