Hammer: An Original Sedalia Character [VIDEOS]

Sedalia just hosted the 2012 Scott Joplin Festival,  just one of the things that makes Sedalia unique and different.  We also have the Missouri State Fair, Music Festivals, Bothwell Lodge etc.  But the thing I think Sedalia has more than any other community that I've ever lived in is we have CHARACTERS.  People who when you meet them you never forget them.

I could list a bunch politicians, entertainers, normal citizens, etc.  However, like Cher, Madonna or Prince, maybe our most famous character is known by just one name.  Say it with me...HAMMER!!

The first time I met Hammer, he was telling me he bought a time machine and was going back in time to get the powerball numbers.  Then he was going to build me a radio station on top of Sedalia's tallest building, and all I had to do for this honor was play Lionel Richie music.

He once brought in a cassette of ghost recordings.  He had spent the night in a cemetary and recorded them, so doing my radio duty, we played them on the air.
