For some that are still debating on whether or not to get the Covid-19 vaccine, one of the factors that may come into play is when are you eligible to receive it.

My wife and I are still vaccine-free. We debated whether it was something we wanted to do. We've seen the comments and we still haven't made up our minds. At this point I believe we're leaning towards getting it. So if we decide to go ahead and say yes, we still have to find out when the time frame is for us to do so.

From the latest information from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services, Tier 3 of the state’s COVID-19 Vaccine Plan will be activated on Monday, March 15. But the big question is who qualifies to receive vaccinations in this next phase?

According to the information released by the state you qualify for Tier 3 if you work in one of the following:

  • Education
  • Childcare
  • Communications Infrastructure
  • Dams Sector
  • Energy Sector
  • Food & Agriculture Sector 1
  • Government
  • Information Technology
  • Nuclear Reactor Sector
  • Transportation Systems
  • Water and Wastewater Systems

Now I would qualify for the vaccination since I work in the category of Communication Infrastructure but I'm not seeing a category for my wife since she doesn't fall under any previous categories. So my question would be when can she get hers if she chooses to do so? I see the last phase falls under the category of Phase 3-All Missouri Residents but there's no date.

All of this is still somewhat confusing for the general public. Hang in there...we're all in this together.
