So my buddy is thinking of taking his family to Branson this Christmas. So I thought I'd scroll through Airbnb and see what places might be available over the Christmas holiday and I spotted this great log cabin. I thought, wow, what a cool place for a family to gather and enjoy a different kind of Christmas.

There's plenty of things for families and couples to experience while in Branson for Christmas. Explore Banson's list of the seven things you must experience include: An Old Time Christmas at Silver Dollar City. Going on a Drive-Through Christmas Light Tour. Taking in some of the Christmas Themed shows like Dolly Parton's Stampede. And even riding The Polar Express.

What I mean by different is not being at a hotel in the hustle and bustle of Branson. Or waking up on Christmas Eve or Christmas Morning in a hotel room. Don't get me wrong, I've had that experience. And while just being somewhere different on a holiday is a treat, I like that this cabin is so close to the town, without being in it.

I can picture waking up on a sunny morning with a fresh coat of snow on the ground. The family enjoying a leisurely breakfast before heading out experience what the town has to offer. Then slowing everything down as you head into the night before Christmas and Christmas Morning. Just hanging out at the cabin. Opening presents. Enjoying a great Christmas dinner together as a family.  Enjoying a lazy holiday together.

The Airbandb listing that got me thinking about this is the Three Bear Lodge in Ridgedale. Your family will have the whole cabin to yourself. And the cabin can comfortably house five guests. Either two couples or a family.

There's a full kitchen, two bedrooms with king-size beds, two bathrooms, a hot tub, an outdoor and an indoor fireplace, and your pets are OK too!

Continue below to check out some great photographs of the cabin. I checked, and as of this writing, the cabin is still available over Christmas for $352 a night plus fees and taxes. You can learn more about the Three Bear Lodge here.
