During the early morning hours on Tuesday (Feb 5), local authorities arrested two Sedalia residents on multiple drug charges.

A press release from the Pettis County Sheriff's Office indicates that deputies were conducting an investigation into locating several subjects who had active arrest warrants. During the investigation, deputies, with assistance from the Sedalia Police Department reportedly located 28-year old Justin Bales hiding in crawl space of his residence in the 700 block of E. 4th Street. Bales had an active FTA no-bond warrant. In addition, authorities also located a large quantity of methamphetamine and drug packaging equipment. Also taken into custody was 23-year old Patricia K. Ryan.

Bales is currently in the Pettis County Jail for the no-bond warrant. Pending charges include Resisting Arrest, Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Correctional Facility, and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Distribute.

Patricia Ryan is also in the Pettis County Jail pending the filing of charges for Hindering Prosecution, Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Distribute and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

It was noted the arrests were made with the assistance of the Sedalia Fire Department, who provided equipment used to locate Bales.
