Jack White has released the first song from his highly anticipated third studio album Boarding House Reach. You can see the video for "Connected by Love" above.

According to a press release, the track features White on vocals, synthesizer, and acoustic guitar, backed by a new lineup of musicians including drummer Louis Cato (who has previously performed with Beyoncé, Q-Tip, John Legend), bassist Charlotte Kemp Muhl (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger), synthesizer player DJ Harrison, keyboardist Neal Evans (Soulive, Talib Kweli, John Scofield), percussionist Bobby Allende (David Byrne), and backing vocalists Ann & Regina McCrary of Nashville gospel trio The McCrary Sisters.

A second track from the album, the more experimental "Respect Commander," is also currently available for streaming. The two tracks are, of course, also available for purchase as a 7" vinyl single from Third Man Records.

White's most recent solo effort was 2014's Lazaretto. In 2015 the Dead Weather - the group he formed with Alison Mosshart of the Kills, Dean Fertita of Queens of the Stone Age and Jack Lawrence - released their third album, Dodge and Burn.

He previewed Boarding House Reach last month with a four-minute teaser video that pairs a series of short provocative visual images with what appears to be samples of various tracks from the album.

Neither a release date nor a full track list for Boarding House Reach have been revealed yet. White will be performing at several of the summer's biggest music festivals in support of the album.
