Meet Jackson. He was an owner surrender to the Old Drum and Friends Animal Shelter in Warrensburg and he's looking for a new furever home.

According to the animal shelter's Facebook post the shelter took Jackson in after his owner had to give him up because the owner's living situation had changed. Jackson's been an indoor dog for his entire life and was an only pet. The shelter has figured out that Jackson isn't much of a cat person and that he only really gets along with submissive female dogs.

Jackson loves heading outside to play and while cats and some other dogs tend to annoy him, he does love people. The shelter says he gets along with all the staff and volunteers.

He's been at Old Drum and Friends for 51 days and the stress of shelter life is having a negative impact on his health. So the shelter hopes to find Jackson a new home sooner rather than later. He is a one year old altered male Staffordshire Terrier.
