Jefferson City Man Arrested on Child Pornography Charges

A Jefferson City man faces child pornography charges after a search warrant was executed as his residence on September 7.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says investigators located child pornography at the residence in the 300 block of West Ashley Street. 32-year-old Ben Joseph Hilkemeyer was arrested and taken to the Cole County Jail.

On September 8, Hilkemeyer was charged with two counts of promoting child pornography in the first degree and five counts of possession of child pornography. Bond was set at $75,000.

The arrest was the result of an investigation conducted by members of the Division of Drug and Crime Control’s Digital Forensics Investigative Unit and the Springfield Police Department. The Patrol was assisted by the Jefferson City Police Department.
