The Johnson County Sheriff's Office is launching a Crime Resolution Team in conjunction with all law enforcement municipalities in Johnson County, Missouri.

This initiative will see all local law enforcement agencies working together to target and disrupt persistent criminals and criminal enterprises in Johnson County.

Sheriff Musterman and Johnson County Sheriff's Office officials have met with police chiefs from Warrensburg, the University of Central Missouri, Holden, Knob Noster, and Leeton, and all those police departments are committed to this initiative.

Selected officers from each of these departments will work with three full-time Crime Resolution Team members targeting drug distribution networks, firearm crimes, theft crimes, and related serious criminal activity related to this initiative. The officers from each of the agencies have been cross commissioned by Sheriff Munsterman and will be able to assist the Crime Resolution Team and continue investigations outside of their home department's jurisdiction.

Sheriff Munsterman believes jurisdictions working together will enhance resource sharing and information exchange between departments and help make law enforcement countywide more effective.
