This Fourth of July, you have a lot of options for entertainment. One that you might not have heard about is over in Farrington Park in Windsor. There are going to be a lot of great things happening throughout the day! The activities and vendors start at 9:00 a.m. July 4. The cardboard boat regatta will be at 1:30 p.m., followed by kayak races, a backseat driver contest and a tug-of-war contest. Games will take place from 9 a.m. to noon including a turtle race, frog race, egg race, sack race, soft egg toss, water balloon toss and softball toss.

I'll be out there with the Kiwanis club to sell spiral cut potatoes, funnel cakes, deep fried Oreos and dill pickles!  Great food, and it's going to help a great cause - helping our kids.  Fundraisers like this help the group to support Sedalia youth programs and organizations. Like what, you ask? How about the Sedalia Kiwanis William Schien Memorial Scholarship Program, Pettis County Early Childhood, Malita Day Nursery, American Legion Baseball, Paul Klover Soccer , the Boys Scouts, the Girl Scouts, Sedalia Girls Softball, Show-Me Christian Youth Home and Childsafe  as well as being involved with three child car seat safety and bicycle helmet programs throughout the year.

You don't want to miss out on the fun, so join us down in Windsor!

Oh, and don't forget, fireworks will begin at dusk. Food vendors will be available all day. For more information, call 660-647-2318 or visit their Facebook page.

Fireworkingly yours,

Behka
