Sedalia Police observed a vehicle traveling westbound on West Broadway Boulevard Sunday morning that was speeding and swerving all over the road.

Officers activated their emergency lights, and the vehicle continued. It eventually stopped on West Broadway Boulevard near Curry Road. Officers made contact with the driver, and detected the odor of intoxicants on his breath.

During the course of the investigation, it was discovered that the driver had a revoked driving status and was intoxicated.

Juan Lincoln, 57, of Kansas City, was arrested and transported to the Sedalia Police Department, where he provided a breath sample that showed his blood alcohol content to be above 0.08. Lincoln was transported to the Pettis County Jail, where he was held on a 24-hour hold.

A request for the charges of Driving While Intoxicated and Driving While Revoked was submitted to the prosecutor.
