A Kansas City woman was killed in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Henry County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2021 Dodge Ram, driven by 34-year-old Ramone J. Wooten of Kansas City, was on Missouri 13, south of Missouri 52 at 1:15 p.m., when the driver lost control on the wet pavement. The vehicle traveled off the roadway, overturned and two occupants were ejected.

One of them, 21-year-old Simone Y. Johnson of Kansas City, died from her injuries. She was pronounced dead at 3 p.m., by Henry County Deputy Coroner Paul Abbott. The body was transported to Bradley-Hadley Funeral Home in Clinton.

The other three, Wooten, 21-year-old Tyrese L. Sims and 20-year-old London L. Johnson, suffered serious injuries, and were transported to Belton Regional Medical Center for treatment.

None were wearing their seat belt at the time of the crash, according to the report.

The Dodge was totaled.
