KCK Man Dies in Marshall Junction Rollover

A KCK man died in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Sunday night in Saline County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that an eastbound 2002 Toyota, driven by 24-year-old Peter L. Stathas of Kansas City, Kan., was on I-70 at mile marker 78.6 at 9:30 p.m., when the driver changed lanes suddenly and the Toyota traveled abruptly off the highway, striking a guardrail and the ground, overturning and coming to rest on the driver's side. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected.

Stathas was pronounced dead at the scene by Saline County Coroner William Harlow at 10:15 p.m.

Saline County Deputies assisted the Patrol at the scene.
