Kick off the summer with a free concert on the lot behind the Hayden Liberty Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday between 6:00PM - 8:00PM.

The Nace Brothers will be providing the music for the evening. Beer, wine and spirits will be available for purchase and the Pupuseria Jireh Food Truck will also be there. Additionally the Hayden Liberty Center for the Performing Arts will be holding a 50/50 Raffle.

All proceeds from the event will benefit The Liberty Lot. The construction of a new outdoor performance space including stage and concert venue in the lot behind the Liberty Center.

The project was announced at the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Hayden Liberty Center upon them joining The Sedalia Area Chamber of Commerce and their 100 anniversary of a performing arts beacon in downtown Sedalia.

Executive Director Diane Burnett revealed an exciting new project on Friday, which is the construction of an outdoor stage on the back lot of the center (southwest corner) that will allow for live and socially-distanced performances in the age of COVID.

Joe Fischer, LCAA board president, noted that the Liberty Center owns the lot behind the facility, and the board will help decide the final look of the stage, which will be able to accommodate play productions, live bands and other performances.

The Hayden Liberty Center encourages people to bring out their chairs for the free concert. However, coolers will not be allowed.
