The Lady Gremlins placed 7th out of 12 Saturday at the Smith-Cotton Joe Arbisi Invitational. 

“They performed well today against some tough competition from across the state.  This team of five athletes does nothing but impress me at each meet.  They always give 100 percent and it shows by these impressive finishes at this competitive level,” according to Coach Michelle Steger.

The 200 medley relay (Carney, Hudson, Ponce, & Schear) earned a 2nd place & a state consideration time of 2:16.84.  That same relay team also placed 2nd in the 200 freestyle relay.

Kate Carney had a 3rd place finish in the 200 free & a 4th place finish in the 100 freestyle.

Arly Ponce had a 4th place finish in the 50 free and was 5th in the 500 free.

Kelsey Hudson was 28th out of 57 in the 50 freestyle & 23rd in the 200 free.

Hayden Althena was 7th in the 11 dive event.

Camille Schear was 1st in the 100 free with an automatic state qualifying time of 55.08 & 2nd in the 200 individual medley with an automatic state qualification time of 2:14.27.

The SH girls are scheduled to compete in the West Central Classic Invite Jan. 21 at 4 p.m.
