The 20th-ranked State Fair Community College Lady Roadrunners finished fifth at the Indian Hills Invitational at the Cedar Creek Golf Course in Ottumwa, Iowa on Friday, Oct. 14.

The fifth-place finish was the best team finish in the history of the program for SFCC.

Freshman Tanner Maggard led the team with a time of 21:25.3 to finish in 12th place on the 5K course. Freshman Kara Van Vleck finished 13th in 21:28.5. Freshman Breanna James finished 22nd in 22:36.5. Sophomore Korry Davis finished 24th with a time of 22:46.2. Freshman Adamaris Ramirez finished 25th in 22:57.6. Freshman Madelyn McBride finished 32nd in 25:33.8.

“We finally got to race against schools our own size and it showed just how competitive our team is,” said Lady Roadrunners Cross Country Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. “Our team continues to show how consistency leads to success. We can’t wait to compete at the Region 16 Cross Country Championships in two weeks.”
