The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners cross country team opened their 2022 campaign with a sixth-place finish as a team at the Southwest Baptist University (SBU) Bearcat Invite at the Bolivar City Municipal Golf Course in Bolivar on Friday, Sept. 2.

Freshman Tanner Maggard finished 39th (a team best) for the Lady Roadrunners covering the 5K course in 22:29.3. Sophomore Korry Davis finished 43rd with a time of 22:49.5. Freshman Kara Van Vleck finished 44th with a time of 22:57.0. Freshman Breanna James finished 48th with a time of 23:20.0. Freshman Madelyn McBride finished 56th with a time of 27:25.7.

“This was a great first outing,” said Lady Roadrunners Cross Country Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. “Tanner Maggard really set the tone for the day. With this showing, we are better prepared for our next match at Missouri Southern (Joplin).”
