Lane Closures Announced by City of Sedalia

South Grand Ave. will be restricted to one lane of traffic beginning at 7 a.m. on Wed., Aug. 4 and continuing until 9 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 5, as the northbound lane will be closed to allow for roadway repairs after recent water main replacement.

Residents will be able to access their driveways during this construction activity. Travelers are advised that the roadway will be lane restricted and workers and heavy equipment will be in the area. Travelers are encouraged to find alternate routes to avoid delays especially during daytime hours.

East Pettis Street will be closed between North Ohio Avenue and N. Lamine Avenue and North Moniteau Avenue will be closed between West Henry Street and West Johnson Street beginning at 4 a.m. and continuing until 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5, to allow for repair of base failures in the roadways.

Residents in these two areas will be able to access their driveways during construction activities. Travelers are advised these roadways will be closed to through travelers during this time period due to workers and heavy equipment working in the roadways.

Travelers will need to find alternate routes between 4 a.m. and continuing until 2 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 5.

"We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work to complete these roadway repairs. These projects are weather and equipment dependent and may be delayed due to inclement weather or equipment breakdowns," the City said in a press release Monday.
