Lane Restrictions Announced For This Week in Sedalia

As part of the City of Sedalia’s stormwater improvement project in the area of West Morgan and North Missouri Ave., roadway surfaces are being replaced.

West Morgan Street, just east of its intersection with North Missouri Avenue, will be closed through Monday, Feb. 24 to allow for curing of the new concrete roadway.

Beginning on Monday, Feb. 24, and continuing through Monday, March 2, the northbound lane of North Missouri Avenue will be closed from the first alley south of West Morgan Street to West Morgan Street to allow for roadway surface replacement.

Beginning on Tuesday, Mar. 3 and continuing through Monday, Mar. 9, the south bound lane of North Missouri Avenue from West Morgan Street to the first alley south of West Morgan St. will be closed and the section of roadway will be replaced.

Drivers will want to plan for delays in this area or plan in advance for use of an alternate route during the time the road is restricted down to a single lane.

The City apologized for any inconvenience the lane restrictions may cause as they work to improve the area. The project is weather and equipment dependent and may be delayed due to rain or equipment breakdowns.
